Out Of Office
I just had my out of office on for three days. But what does it mean to be out of office?
For a lot of people, turning off notifications and going out of office causes anxiety. There is a real fear you are going to miss out on more than just emails.
It’s important to shift your focus and set priorities to what is happening in your life. You shouldn’t feel like you’re missing out on work if you’re spending quality family time, or moving into your first home (that was my OOO!)
Think of going out of office as a way to switch up your routine. Let your mind open up, you’ll end up bringing back more knowledge to the table AND feel refreshed doing it.
Here are some examples for you to try next time you turn on that OOO reply. Sunny tip: always delegate someone as your back-up when you’re traveling and on vacation. You deserve all the time in the sunshine!
Amanda’s OOO adventures
It is humanly impossible to answer every text, every email, every call in a timeframe that society puts on us these days. Take a breath and smile in the moment.
Your courageous move at home or at work will come to you when you’re feeling recharged with a sense of clarity.
Remember the importance of taking some time to yourself. Putting an out of office on is just one small example of how you can start living a life of balance at home and at work. You deserve it!
