Establish Your(self) Brand

South Florida is an energetic area with various things to do, made up of different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs.

With all these variables, I have to find motivation in a challenge like that to establish the brand I work for in a unique market.

By being self-aware of the position you’re in, it’s easier to find a balance in the situation and be on your way to achieving that goal. >>Step 4: Find Your Weakness.

Aligning your brand message with the city you’re in is how you will create a visual identity that reflects all of those rich traditions in the market.

Ice Ice Baby

How often do you get to take a photo on ice in South Florida? I always capture these moments and share with my social network, you never know who you might influence to come out & try something new.

It’s a long (sometimes frustrating) process to establish an untraditional brand in your market.

Along with my peers, I started by strengthening our relationship with the local convention visitor’s bureau, whose main objective is to bring visitors in but also on getting the locals to be brand ambassadors of the area (shoutout to @visitlauderdale for building an amazing brand identity of sunny Fort Lauderdale).

We also built a strategy on bringing in more local partners (@venicemagftl your team knows how to throw the best Rosé events!) and collaborated on a beer with our local brewery (@funkybuddhabrew you guys always have good, sunny vibes topped with an ice cold beer!).

Commitment to your vision will get you to where you want to go.

I’m now able to collaborate with talented leaders and mix different industries into the brand. Seeing the energy fuse together creates something even more powerful than before.

Keep asking yourself what’s next, you’ll be amazed at what you can do!
